2. Implementation's characteristics

The YOUTH.GOV.AU information service was designed and is being maintained by the Australian government. It is addressed to young people, offering many topics that are of interest to this group.

An active role within the service is being played by other public institutions providing services to young people or organizing parties and other events for them. The whole of information published on the website is divided into six categories: Health, Education and work, Community, Culture, Environment, Finances.

The service doesn’t allow for the promotion of commercial events or services. The content made available through the service is monitored by the Australian Ministry for Education.

The website is integrated with social media only through the “Share” option. Social media used by the service include Twitter, Facebook and Google +.

Thanks to the browser, users can browse the service’s content. The service can also be used for carrying out surveys or public opinion polling, yet the only one who can truly take advantage of this tool is the service’s administrator, because he is the one who creates surveys for his own purposes – at the moment the question can be found on the website about the course of information on the youth.gov.au service.
