1. Implementation procedure
2. Implementation's characteristics
The ny.gov is an Institutions 2.0 type of a website implemented by the authorities of the State of New York. It is a focal point for many minor websites and pages dedicated to specific functions such as open data such as budget.ny.gov, openbudget.ny.gov; city’s information policy – www.ny.gov/local, as well as information services – www.ny.gov/services.
In order to access the website, an anonymous user or an activity observer, does not need to have an account or sign in. In exceptional situations, when users want to use an online service or take part in an e-budget process, they are required to set up an account. (We have not been able to access all the functions at the stage of describing implementation.) Via the website, users can learn on the latest developments related to the affairs of the state of NY, review laws and budget expenditure. The latter are described in great detail on a separate website (budget.ny), where one can download selected documents as .xls files for the purpose of their further use.
